Welcome all. This here blog is all about the thoughts, views and opinions that I often don't give expression to, for lack of an audience, time etc. Here, at last I have the opportunity to say everything I wanna say, from the mundane to the profound, without interruption, and without watching anyone's eyes glaze over. Mwahahaha >:)

It's the week before Christmas and I am on Day One of my last three working days of 2007. I must tell you, it's painful. The office is empty, barring the brown-nosers who always try to impress God-knows-who with the long hours they put in at the office; people like me whose vacant eyes stare into space wishing we hadn't used up all our allocated leave days early in the year. There's a third group milling about the office, distinguished from the other two groups by their bright eyes and bushy tails. They are interns, you see, recently graduated young people having their first experience of the world of work. They actually seem excited to be here. Poor darlings.

As for me, I have a shopping list to attend to, and the luxury of a wooly-sounding, nebulously defined job description which allows me to occasionally disappear from the office without raising too many eyebrows, because most people don't know what the fuck it is I really do anyway.

So, I might go shopping, have lunch, and return to the office this afternoon with only a few hours to kill.

I love my life.
